We’d like to share an article we recently came across. The Grace Lutheran Church in Wyndmoor, PA installed a carillon to in 2002 and upgraded it in 2012. While Grace Lutheran couldn’t afford the project, the local community stepped in to help out. Bells are an important part of the community, the people outside the church had a bigger vision for what was possible than the congregation. The community realized it was an important ingredient of the life of the town AND THEY MISSED IT.
Originally purchased for the St Elizabeth Church in Branford, Connecticut and serving that community for years, the Carillon system has a new home in a chapel at a retreat center in the town of Soroti in eastern Uganda.
Recently, we were pleased and honored to get a very nice letter from Chimemaster whom we’ve been working with for more than 25 years to keep the majestic sounds of bells ringing.
The reconstruction of St. Michael the Archangel Church on Liberty Street in Pawcatuck reached a milestone in July, 2017 as the new 40-foot spire and cross were raised and placed atop the steeple. Trinity United Methodist Church received a new, upgraded bell-ringing system Friday. Gettysburgh’s Lutheran Theological Seminary Currently Church Specialties is arranging three bells to be included in a war memorial on the ground of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg.
